Huawei beats Apple and Samsung with new wide foldable

Huawei has revealed the Pura X Max, a wide-format foldable phone launching in China on April 20th, beating Apple and Samsung to market with this form factor. The phone features a triple rear camera, comes in blue, white, orange, and black, and adopts a hybrid flip/book design that works in both portrait and landscape modes. This competitive timing is significant as Apple's iPhone Fold and Samsung's wider Galaxy Z Fold are both expected in late 2026.
