Microsoft sends Outlook Lite to the great inbox in the sky as memory costs skyrocket

Microsoft will complete the retirement of Outlook Lite on May 25, 2026, ending mailbox access to the lightweight email app designed for low-resource Android devices. The app was optimized for 5MB storage and 1GB RAM with support for 2G/3G networks. The discontinuation consolidates Microsoft's mobile email strategy around Outlook Mobile.
