Humanoid ‘Lightning’ robot smashes the half-marathon record

Honor's Lightning humanoid robot completed a 13-mile half-marathon in Beijing in 50:26, beating both the human world record (57:20) and all 12,000 human competitors. The robot features 90-95cm legs mimicking elite runners and uses liquid cooling technology adapted from Honor's smartphones. Three Lightning variants occupied the top three autonomous placements in the 300-robot race.
