Five Eyes spook shops warn agentic is too wonky for rapid rollout

Five Eyes intelligence agencies have co-authored official guidance warning that agentic AI systems are insufficiently mature for rapid deployment in critical infrastructure and defense sectors. The agencies highlight compounded security risks from expanded attack surfaces and unexpected autonomous behavior, recommending slow, deliberate adoption pending maturation of security standards. The guidance identifies 23 risk categories and over 100 best practices for developers, vendors, and security practitioners.
