Exclusive: The doctors and education experts who studied AI’s impact on the young call for a 5-year moratorium in schools

A coalition of over 250 doctors, child development experts, educators, and child safety organizations, led by Boston-based nonprofit Fairplay, has released a report calling for a five-year moratorium on generative AI products in U.S. and Canadian K-12 schools. The group cites research on AI's impacts on developing brains and warns that products failing safety testing should be permanently banned.
