Google launches the AI for the Economy Forum in Washington D.C. with MIT FutureTech to examine AI's impact on employment and economic opportunity. The company is announcing its AI & Economy Research Program, which will fund research on labor markets, sector-specific transformations, and worker-friendly AI adoption through academic partnerships and a visiting fellows program. Google is also committing funding to new training programs targeting rural healthcare workers, manufacturing employees, and creating 100 new apprenticeships through industry partnerships.
