Forgejo and Forgejo Runner (versions 15.0 and 12.8+) now expose APIs that enable external autoscalers to manage runner instances dynamically. The new capabilities allow systems to query job queues, create ephemeral runners, and scale infrastructure up and down. This enables reliable autoscaling for CI/CD workloads on self-hosted Forgejo instances.
