Anthropic accidentally leaked nearly 2,000 source code files and 512,000+ lines of Claude Code's architecture in a bad release package (v2.1.88), just days after separately exposing ~3,000 internal files including an unannounced model draft. Security researcher Chaofan Shou caught the code leak almost immediately. Anthropic called it a "release packaging issue caused by human error, not a security breach."
